This week saw the launch of the Canadian Lung Association #breakstigma campaign, I was lucky enough to be able to shoot some portraits of patients who were involved in the project. The campaign aim is to decrease the stigma around lung disease. According to a recent survey of 1500 Canadians, stigma plays a significant part in the physical and mental well-being of Canadians with lung disease. It's a great cause and one I was glad to be able to contribute to. We shot the project on a cold winters day in downtown Ottawa. The patients we worked with were a great group, they didn't get down heartened despite the temperature and were always ready to jump in front of the camera and get the right shot. The aim was to show them in their typical environment and how they've have had a positive outcome! Everything has come together nicely and you can see it all here https://www.lung.ca/stigma Have a look and please help out if you can!
