I had the chance to shoot at this years NDP Convention here in Ottawa. It was my first Canadian convention so it was fascinating to take a step back when I wasn't shooting and watch things unfold. The big set piece of the event was party leader Jagmeet Singh taking to the stage to give his speech on the Saturday afternoon.  It was Jagmeet's first convention as leader, so a great opportunity to see him in action and get some shots of him! He's a confident and charismatic speaker and there were plenty of great shooting options. Enjoy!

I dropped in on the Ice Dragon Boat Festival at Dow's lake this weekend, as part of my bid to experience Winterlude.  There was plenty of effort on display and it was good to see people enjoying it. Supposedly this is the worlds biggest competition.  The competitors all use spiked sticks to grip on the ice and it's surprising how fast some of them can go!     |
